How Is It That People Who Lecture On Their Past With Drugs And Gangs Never Served Jail Time?

I guess this just sort of came to mind, lol. A lot of people go to schools and other areas of communities to lecture on drugs, gangs, bullying and other things. A lot (if not all) of these people have stories to tell, and their stories often involve them doing completely illegal things — using/dealing cocaine and other hard drugs, stealing, basically being an accessory to someone being shot, being affiliated with a gang, etc. How is it that these people never served jail time? O.o

They may have cleaned up their act before being caught. Or they may have served jail time and just didn’t discuss it.

  2. D.C. Maximus says:

Many of them did. I know several who do such public service who have served hard time.

  3. Ryan says:

The ones that came to my high school back in the day went to jail, got into rehab, then did the speeches thing… But they were needle abusers who contracted AIDS talking about that subject. They didn’t specifically say they went to jail except for something along the lines of “the judge put me away for a little while”. They wouldn’t say any more about it. I’d imagine jail isn’t much fun.

    Statute of Limitations has expired.

  5. Allan says:

    Lack of evidence.
