How Has The Republican Party Helped The Poor In The Last 28 Yrs?

Taking away their dependency on welfare making them better off for the labor market.
Fighting against minimum wage so more jobs are available and those people who take those jobs can acquire new skills to earn better wages in the future.
Cut taxes as to let more investment and more business provide opportunities for themselves to make money. And the secret to that helping the poor is, these businesses need workers they can pay!
Cut Federal Student loans as to force the price of college down so people can afford it or use private student loans.
Create a voucher program for public schools so public schools have to compete for people to attend their class. Gives an incentive to improve the quality of schools so a High School Diploma means more and their students are even more ready for the labor market.
Policies that cut cost of living and doing business.
Personal Freedom = Personal Responsibility
Broke is temporary, poor is a state of mind…
We want the broke to not stay broke.
Last but not least, their philosophy proves to be the most empathetic to the problem of the poor being poor. Why? Because they believe in free market capitalism and as Milton Friedman states, there is no other system in the world that has been more effective in helping people from being poor or ridding people of being poor.
Your welcome.

What’s Your Opinion?

I’m writing a story. The basic plot is that a guy (Vince) steals something because he really needs the money. (He has a sick dying mom, 2 daughters, and his wife just died….poor Vince!) However, in the second half of the story you see how it affected the person who got stolen from. My original idea was to have Vince be a mover, on his last day of the job, and steal a small broach because the house was very big and he didn’t think it would be missed. But as it turns out, the house was someone’s great aunt’s house that had just died. That broach was very sentimental to her and she gets very upset. (Sorry guys, I know that summary was a little long.)
Anyway, I asked some people what they thought of it and I got a LOT of different feedback. Some people think it’s unsympathetic to steal something, and think he should steal money instead. OR steal an object, but give it to his daughter as a gift or something so he doesn’t have to pawn it and get caught. Or maybe steal an appliance of some sort that he can directly use (i.e. a bed, blender, make-up, etc). Though it would be hard to make a big deal out of a blender being stolen…
So my question is; Do you think stealing money or an object is more sympathize-able ? (Obviously stealing is wrong – but for story purposes.) What should Vince do with the object? (sell it for money, give it as a gift, or use it?) Any other opinions? Thanks!

100k/year Job And Confused!!!?

I was wondering the lists of jobs/careers that will pay 100k/year after around 5 years of experience not including the schooling. I’m fine with going to school for 4-7 years MAX, would really prefer not to go to school more than that. I’m 21 (just turned 21 two days ago) and I have not been to college yet. I do have my high school diploma but a very poor GPA. I’m not stupid but I did have a hard life. I didn’t make my life hard for myself by partying and drinking but it involves more with parents/etc. I don’t mean to make ‘excuses’ for myself but life does have extreme difficulties that I couldn’t avoid and that’s just the way it is.
I grew up in a poor home, been homeless a couple times and didn’t have a lot of anything so I would love to change that for myself and my family and my future family.
I’ve done some research and I first was planning on becoming a psychologist. I couldn’t handle that though, I don’t have tough skin and I couldn’t ‘handle’ other peoples problems. I have enough of my own. Then interior design, I don’t have the niche for it I don’t think. Then computer science but I know I would hate doing that for the rest of my life.
So, besides those and besides anything to do with dentists, doctors/nurses and sales I was wondering what else pays around 100k/year, with around 5 years experience(not talking about right out of college) and 4-7 years of college(any Colleges you recommend in Illinois?).
Thank you all for your time!
P.S. I love inventing things!! I have around 10-15 inventions that are currently not available, but I did not check if it has already been patented though. How do I do that without a big rich guy/corp. stealing it? I know patenting sometimes isn’t the best way to go.
