Affiliate Marketing Secrets

Hi, I’m not in the business of buying websites but in my time of browsing I have came across some places online that allow people to buy and sell websites. For example most of the time the websites are apparently making money through ads or affiliate marketing and been sold for a price that would allow the buyer to make back their money and a profit (based on what the websites are apparently generating) within a few months.
So why would people want to sell these for a once off payment if they would make more keeping them? Is it a type of scam or a genuine business? Thanks.

So here’s the hypothetical case study:
An old woman thinks that her land is rich in gold and can be sold for lots of money. she hires a geologist to check out her land and it turns out that there is no gold, but instead a lot of oil (which she is unaware of). the old woman would like to sell her land for a fair price so she can give the money to her children/grandchildren, but the geologist would like to buy the land from her for cheap so he can let a petroleum company dig oil there (he also has stocks in this company). should the geologist tell the old woman about the oil, or should he keep it a secret then buy the land for way less than it’s actually worth?
So far I thought of:
No – Deontology
deceiving her fails at least two of the three categorical imperatives of Kantianism
Yes – Utilitarianism
he could make more money than the woman, and spend it more wisely/ spend it towards humanitarian efforts instead of letting the old woman’s relatives have it (who knows what they would use it for?)
I also need to bring in a few of: Corporate Social Responsibility, Marketing, Financial, Law, and Environmental Ethics. I feel this is part that I’m having trouble coming up with ideas.

I am getting regular emails to buy and join. I am still with more doubts and dont want to loose my money. Pl give full idea to say Yes or No.

The ironic secret is that most people can become millionaires. It’s just that they don’t have the self-discipline to.
For instance, my country’s average wage is $4334 in Singapore dollars. The average savings rate here is 50% of all income, and average income growth is higher than the inflation rate. Let’s say inflation is about 3.22% (the US average inflation rate from 1913-2013)
Let’s say that I’m below average on all counts. I earn only $3334 in income per month. I’m also a poor worker whose income growth is sub-par and only at the rate of inflation. On top of all that, I’m a poor saver and save only 30% of my income.
Finally, I’m also a lazy investor who can’t be bothered to spend more than 10 minutes per year on investing. Hence, I choose to get the average market rate of return by leaving my money in an index fund (in this case, we use one that mimics the S&P Composite Index) and I don’t bother to manage it for the rest of the 40 years. In this case, I get 10.9% average annual returns (average returns of S&P composite over 30 years from 1980-2012). Perhaps I’m really unlucky and this average figure drops by a large amount to become 9% only.

I have always had a dream home in my mind that doesn’t fit what I see in the general “cookie cutter” type of homes available. When the time comes to get my first home I’d like to design it myself or work with a architect who will help me get the home I want. This includes secret rooms and a very specific floor plan that is unlike any house I have ever seen. I’m not talking about any weird circular obscure layout, just something that isn’t so standard and boring like most track homes on the market today.
If I start designing the layout myself, picking out the correct hardware and doing all the research possible would that save me a decent amount of money?
Although I doubt I will ever get this accomplished because of money, I still want to try…and I’m hoping if I can get it out on paper as thorough as possible that it might just lead me closer to my dream home one day.
