Wondering How To Incorporate My Website Business?

We don’t consider ourselves a for-profit business, we’re just a couple of website operators trying to spread a positive message in the music/entertainment industry. We also share media from user submissions ans drive traffic to affiliated websites by live streaming events. Was wondering how to incorporate as we do need to take on investments and sales from ad space, and pay appropriate taxes when it is due. We also distribute promotional materials like t-shirts at our own expense, and want to put those funds into a business checking account.

  1. Huh? says:

It depends on your state laws, but you can create a not-for-profit corporation or a limited liability company (LLC). You should get advice from an lawyer because there are lots of factors to consider, but I think you will probably want to be an LLC.

I have gone through the process of incorporating myself. I tried incorporating myself for my personal business, but with state laws i found it to be a little complex. I found a company that basically did the incorporating for me, you might want to try them or give them a call for there recommendations. The company name is servico and there website is https://www.servico.com/.
    Best Of Luck!
