Who Would You Say Is The Greatest President Of All Time? Washington? Lincoln? Jackson?

Washington.
Washington was handsdown the best leader this nation has ever had. He led a rag tag group of colonists to win, with the help of the French. against the most powerful force in the world at the time.
Washington was not the president because he wanted to be, nor was he a glory hound. He preferred to spend his time as a planter in Mount Vernon, Virginia. Washington would only serve when his country needed him to. This was why he was so well respected by the citizens.
Washington was no military genius. But his astounding leadership capabilities and most importantly, willingness to learn are the reasons he was so successful. This was why he was so well respected by the soldiers he led.
Washington saved the union once again after the revolutionary war when he attended the Constitutional Convention of 1787. He gave the convention legitamacy though he rarely even spoke when they met. Without Washington at the convention our Constitution would not have been ratified and the nation, or rather, confederation would have completely torn itself apart.
Lastly, Washington was a brilliant president. He appointed a cabinet and only served two terms. These examples are still followed today. During the French Revolution he was smart enough to remain neutral even as Britain and France went to war and called on the young nation. He didn’t let his emotions dictate his decisions. He was also the only president not affiliated with a political party. Jefferson and Adams serve as the best examples of what can happen when parties become totally separated on issues. Washington got s*** done. This is why I feel he was the Greatest President of All Time.

Can I Get Into The Macaulay Honors Program?

Hi, I’m a senior at a high school. I’m an IB diploma candidate taking the following courses this year:
IB History HL, IB English HL, IB TOK, IB Physics HL, IB Urdu (independent study), AP Psychology and Medical Careers (Elective). Last year, in addition to the above mentioned IB classes I also took IB Economics SL and IB Math Studies. My GPA is 3.5 and my SAT scores are 1900. Do I have a shot at the Macaulay Honors Program?
Extra Curricular: I’m in Mock Trial and Peer-Support (a community service club) and have done Model U.N in the past. I’m a polyglot and proficient in several languages including English, Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, Punjabi and Sindhi. I also volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and am affiliated with an NGO in Pakistan (my native country) for which I fund raise to provide relief to the disaster victims.
I was wondering If I had a shot at the Program? because I know its really competitive.

From Whom Do I Have A Right To Privacy?

Is it only the government? As search and seizure laws seem to allow anyone “not affiliated with the police” invade your privacy to find incriminating information.
What is the point of forcing police to get warrants when we aren’t even defended against our neighbors?

I’m Not Sure Whether To Keep Trying Or Move On?

I graduated from college in a small town about a year ago. I landed a good job in the same town as the college, so I still hang out with a lot of my college friends and they come to my house and spend time. A lot of people would consider me pretty popular for being a graduate. Lately, however, it feels like I’ve not been in contact with my friends as often and they have been entering other social circles and we’ve grown someone apart.
It’s hard to make new friends outside of the college here because my town doesn’t have a lot of people my age in it.
An easy solution that I have considered, one that will gain me new friends and renew my relationship with my older friends, is to jump back into the college social life and start making plans with people/attending social events/trying to meet new people at the college. But to me, this just feels weird, and makes me feel like people would consider me weird since I don’t attend classes there any longer, and I don’t want to feel like the person ‘who can’t let his college years go’ even through I graduated there last year.
But this seems like the only option, as our small town is rural, there aren’t a lot of people my age around, and there are no real community events or chances to meet people my age who aren’t affiliated with the college.
Should I go back into the college social life?
