Affiliate Marketing Secrets

I’d like to start a blog, not to make money, but to organise my writing and to make it accessible to a larger audience. I am aware that I need to narrow down my blog topic so as to be able to market it effectively. I would like to write about current affairs and prominent issues in politics, law and technology. Is this too broad a niche?
I’m thinking the following sorts of posts:
– Opinion pieces
– xyz subject explained: e.g. something in the news put into context and explained simply
– Personal life columns: light-hearted, off-topic posts about things I encounter in my life
– Tech how-tos/guides

I have a long-distance boyfriend that my parents don’t know about. They are a little paranoid about such things and they wouldn’t approve. I am an adult, but, because I still live with them, they have a considerable influence over my life. It’s silly, I know, but I’m just not yet in a position where I can move out. With the job market like it is, I still don’t have one, so I don’t have my own phone. I share one with my brothers.
Anyway, I’d like to start phoning my boyfriend but I don’t want a long-distance call on the phone bill to make my parents start asking questions. Will that appear on the bill? I use AT&T if that makes a difference and, the service plan we have grants us free minutes to anyone who also has AT&T, so there would be no charge if he also has it. Please, make sure that you are positive, because keeping my personal life secret from my parents is my highest priority.
Please help, best answer gets ten points!

So I started a company about 2 years ago. It has become pretty successful locally but we are just beginning to branch out on the Internet. It is a niche market and the competitor(s) mainly one…..are extremely harsh on other competitors. They are known to be cruel, slander your company and personal name. I am prepared for this and have enough in my portfolio to shut them up….and enough big clients to prove my standing in the industry. However, I don’t think in feel comfortable listing my real name on my bio. I think I may want to create an alias of sorts. I really dint need lectures on anything regarding my business or industry. Justbsome helpful suggestions for a good name that will be memorable….nothing too out there please!
I am female…..so keep that in mind.
I have thought of names like: January, janae, Christina, summer, Capri, chenault pronounced(Chanel) etc etc etc……..
First and last names or first and middle names. 🙂
