Can Muslims Blame Us For Being Skeptical About Mosques?

4/25/13 http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/natio…
BOSTON — The mosque attended by the two brothers accused in the Boston Marathon double bombing has been associated with other terrorism suspects, has invited radical speakers to a sister mosque in Boston and is affiliated with a Muslim group that critics say nurses grievances that can lead to extremism.
Several people who attended the Islamic Society of Boston mosque in Cambridge, Mass., have been investigated for Islamic terrorism, including a conviction of the mosque’s first president, Abdulrahman Alamoudi, in connection with an assassination plot against a Saudi prince.

9/6/11 CNN reporting on The Public Religion Research Institute: “Nearly half of Americans would be uncomfortable with a woman wearing a burqa, a mosque being built in their neighborhood or Muslim men praying at an airport; 41% would be uncomfortable if a teacher at the elementary school in their community were Muslim; 47% of survey respondents said the values of Islam are at odds with American values.

Why Do Muslim Leaders Never Blame Islam For The Terrorism Of Muslim Terrorists?

4/19/13 http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/chec… President Says American Upbringing to Blame
“Any attempt to draw a connection between Chechnya and Tsarnaevs — if they are guilty — is futile. They were raised in the United States, and their attitudes and beliefs were formed there. It is necessary to seek the roots of this evil in America.”
———–
This is the Muslim leader who expressed this unbelievable justification for the murder of women:
-4/29/12 http://p.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/a… Washington Times, Chechnya: Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov publicly announced that the dead women [found dead in forests] had “loose morals” and were rightfully shot by male relatives. He went on to describe women as the property of their husbands, and said their main role is to bear children.”
———–
Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Erdagon said this about terrorism:
-12/09 Syrian Arab News Agency: “Islam means peace, and it cannot tolerate terrorism. We reject all attempts to link Islam with terrorism.”
—————
And yet Islam commands:
Quran 7:3: “Little do you remember My warning. How many towns have We destroyed as a raid by night? Our punishment took them suddenly while they slept for their afternoon rest. Our terror came to them; Our punishment overtook them.”
-Quran 8:12: Instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers
-Quran 9:5: Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them
-Muslim General Khalid ibn al-Walid’s (592-642AD): “It was thirst that made us leave our homes. We have heard that Byzantine blood is the tastiest and we have come to drink it.”

Republicans Blame Liberals For The Moral Decline Of The Country But Isnt It Really Capitalism That Is At Fault?

Fast food and junk food is a product of Capitalism and is the source of obesity and heart disease epidemic. We are still dependent on oil as corporations continue to keep out better alternatives (see Who Killed the Electric Car for one example). The rich keep getting richer, the middle class will all be on government aid in the next 20 years at the rate we are going. Media caters to viewers lust and greed.
We need a new economic system that is less dependent on the so called free-market.

Atheists Blame Religion Too Much, Agreed?

Religion does not control people, people control people. People have done horrible things, not religion.
If you really want an example of oppression look to one name:
Pol Pot.
Who killed more in his own small country in the name of preserving atheism than died in either of those 2 secularly driven conflicts.
But let’s just look at the easy stuff: Human rights are more widely practiced in every country where religion (Christianity, Islam, etc) has spread. Almost every instance of slavery being brought to an end was done by religious activists.
Also, religion has given us culture, tradition, forms of art and music. Also, countless numbers of charities give money to less fortunate and organize institutions (St. Jude’s Hospital for example). People who affiliate themselves with some religions volunteer their time, some even leaving their home countries to help others. Is it 100% a good thing? No. has it caused issues like war or bigotry? Yes, but so have politics and government.
Many people will use whatever vehicle they can to serve their purpose. Religion is often used as this vehicle.
Guns don’t kill people, people kill people, remember this folks.
