Australian Army Tatto Policy?

I’m soon to turn 18 and am wanting to get a few tattoos. I am currently studying Engineering at a non military affiliated university but am potentially going to look into transferring to ADFA at the end of my first year.
An extensive Google search yielded mixed results. For the purpose of context, I shall describe my intended tattoo locations:
– Underside of the left forearm
– Top of the right hand
I know the general restrictions; it can’t be sexually suggestive, racist or extremist (etc.) in any way and I have no plans for mine to be. I know that the U.S. Army allows tattoos practically anywhere (apart from the face) pending that the guidelines and restrictions are adhered to. I’m unsure about the Australian Army though… Will they reject an applicant that has tattoos lower than the wrist line or those that are visible when wearing a PT uniform?

Job Opportunities After Leaving The U.s. Army?

Hello all,
I have been consistently hearing that getting out of the military is a bad idea due to the fact that the economy is terrible, and that there are no jobs. The problem is, I have been hearing the same thing for years on end, and am unsure as to what to make of it. On one hand, I see people getting out regularly, and quite few of them (that I have maintained contact with) have gone on to get decent jobs. On the other hand, I hear the same rant over and over again about being better off in the military.
In your opinion: Is the job market so bad, that I should stay in the military due to lack of a better option?
For those of you curious about my skill set, I am a Supply Sergeant with a Secret Clearance, no negative work history, and have won several job specific competitions. I have qualifications that fall outside of the 92Y skill set as well. Also, I am working on a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
Thank you in advance!

Question About Medieval Society?

I’m writing a story and I have a few unanswered questions. Would a king send his family elsewhere if he knew there was an army coming towards his kingdom that he knows he cannot stop? Were there assassins during that time? How common were bounties on people? For what reason would a king call upon a knight to speak with him privately? Have people ever openly fought in the markets or taverns?

Is This A Good Example Of How Corrupt The Vatican And Catholic Church Is?

“”Charles Francis Flynn – known in his neighborhood as simply, Charlie, is a 20th century American criminal. Charles was born in May of 1946 in Brooklyn, New York. A 6’3” man with a slim build, wavy slicked back dark brown hair and light green Irish eyes. He was first arrested at the age of 17 in 1963 for a drug arrest and continued his downward spiral from there. Flynn started working with a uncle on the west side of Manhattan and was drafted by the US Army at the age of 21 in the summer of 1967, Flynn was not pleased and considered himself “too good for the military”, Flynn, however received little pity from the Army. Flynn was sent to Vietnam by September of that same year and fought in combat during the 1968 Tet Offensive. Flynn was honorably discharged in 1969, despite superiors noting Flynn as “holding a deep disdain for authority figures”. After returning to civilian life, Flynn’s drug use became a severe issue. Flynn lived with his parents for several years and around 1977, his father found him a job with a small steel company that had it’s main office in the World Trade Center, Flynn excelled as a commodities trader. Flynn became part of the Wall Street culture “sticking with your own”, Flynn was loosely affiliated with all Irish Catholic traders, stock brokers, bankers, CEO’s, accountant and lawyers, known as the “White Collar Irish mob”. He has been described as not “incredibly intelligent but used his good looks, deceit, manipulative skills and street smarts to quickly advance in his new career” In 1982 Flynn was arrested for insider trading and served 5 months in federal prison, upon release Flynn realized he had lost his job, this greatly angered Flynn.
In 1984, at age 38, Flynn moved back in with his parents and younger sister. It was around this time Flynn created started a new firm, while the SEC was investigating him. Flynn eventually agreed to pay a fine in addition to being barred from trading by the Securities and Exchange Commission in 1988, Flynn used several aliases, including Mark Rose.
In an attempt to use the Roman Catholic Church to discourage questions of legitimacy, Flynn founded the St. Francis of Assisi Foundation in the largely impoverished and African descent nations of the predominantly Catholic Haiti and the American Virgin Island’s, with a nominal mission of investing in insurance companies in order to fund hospitals. Among people solicited to join the Foundation board was retired CBS Evening News anchorman Walter Cronkite; when he declined to join, his name was used anyway. An official of the Roman Curia, Monsignor Emilio Colavanni, agreed to sign a letter falsely stating that the Foundation received funding from the Vatican in exchange for several million dollars for his personal use and a twenty million dollar donation to the Catholic church. Colavanni was extradited from Vatican City in November 1997, where photos of the then 65 year old being led shackled and handcuffed by well armed CIA agents went viral. Colavanni served a six year sentence in a cushy Maryland federal prison known as “Club Fed”, from September 1998 – October 2004. As of 2012 he is 78 years old and living in Italy. Colavanni gave agents critical information in exchange for a drastically reduced sentence, Washington federal prosecutors indicted Colavanni in late 1997 and planned to “throw the book at Colavanni, an important and trusted man holding one of the most high profile positions in the world.
By November 1993, Flynn’s illegal antics had caught up with him and he was under serious investigation by the FBI for defrauding the government, tax fraud, wire fraud and various other crimes. Around this time, Flynn’s long-time and devout Catholic girlfriend Cara Kelly threatened to turn him in, due to using the churches name in vain, after Flynn attempted to persuade her and she refused, Flynn brutally stabbed her at least thirty times and set his Connecticut compound on fire with her in it, attempting to destroy any paper trail.
Thanks to Colavanni Flynn was immediately apprehended fleeing Ireland for Canada. He refused to speak with government agents during interrogation. Flynn was likely to face a life sentence, the only debate was to hold him in federal or state prison. During Flynn’s arraignment, he appeared before the federal judge verbally abuse, calling the agents and judges everything from a “fat bald f***” to a “homo”. In late 1999, Flynn was found guilty on all charges. As of 2012, Flynn, now 65 years old, is currently serving a life sentence in Colorado Super-max prison in Florence.””

Modern/future Marine Corps (10 Points)?

The Marine Corps mission statement is to provide the US with amphibious expeditionary warfare. The issue I see with that is in modern times this mission statement has become obsolete.
Amphibious operations will always be needed, but forcible entry by storming beaches doesn’t work like it did in WWII, long range missiles can counter an entire beach assault with the push of a button. Since we no longer storm beaches, that takes a huge chunk of the Marine Corps mission away. Amphibious invasions today mean bombing the shore and moving forces on shore or inserting through helicopter from a MEU, neither of those require a Marine Corps as bombings can be handled by the Air Force and Navy and helicopter insertions require helicopters (Army, Navy, and Air Force) and infantry (Army).
The Marine Corps is still an expeditionary force in readiness. There are MEUs afloat as we speak that can “park” anywhere in the world ready to conduct combat operations and handle limited scale warfare within 18 hours. The issue here is that MEUs are never called upon to be used as a “first to fight” tool for the US. Special operations forces are always first to fight, Army Airborne units and specialized units such as the 10th Mountain are either second or invade along side the Marine Corps. If something went down in North Korea right now expect to hear special operations forces and Army Airborne units were first to assault, followed by a MEU.
I understand the Marine Corps isn’t supposed to fill a direct niche, to break it down the Army handles land warfare, the Navy handles maritime warfare, and the Air Force handles air superiority, I know there pretty much isn’t anything else to fill. But historically the Marines have filled an important role, we have always needed a force in readiness and the ability of forcible entry, especially from sea. But that role is no longer valid as there are plenty of other and better forces in readiness (special operations/Airborne) and forcible entry doesn’t really exist in modern warfare, especially from sea. To top it off when it comes to straight Army vs Marine infantry you can throw out propaganda but statistics show the Army is better.
So what is the modern/future purpose of the Marine Corps? Am I missing something? Do you think the role the Marine Corps plays is nearly as important as other branches, or are they reverting back to their pre-WWII days where they were “those other military guys” like when they were guarding ships. This question certainly isn’t intended to bash on the Marines, just get a better understanding of their role in modern times and how necessary they are in todays conflicts.
Thanks in advance.

Major Accounting/minor Political Science And Army Rotc? Will It Lead To A Possible Job Like Fbi Or Cia?

A lot of questions to answer but any help would be appreciated.
I just finished my Freshman year with a 3.5 GPA. I may not be the brightest student as I barely managed to get into college with a 2.4 GPA and attend a state school California State University Northridge. Anyways, I recently switched my major from Marketing to Accounting. Since I think I know what I want to do with my future would it be a smart choice to go ahead and Major in Accounting with a minor in Poly Sci in order to look into a future job with the FBI/CIA/NSA or some other intelligence gathering gov agency? I also struggled throughout high school with my math classes and I am going to have to retake my Business Calculus class because I received a C-, but a C or better is considered passing for Business majors at my school. Despite the setback I took accounting courses in high school and although they were easy I actually feel like I enjoyed doing Accounts Receivable/Payable, etc. I even enjoyed an AP Government class I took in High School.
I’m also looking to join the Army ROTC as it is the quickest way I can develop leadership skills that civilian jobs may not give me or take longer to develop. I am looking into some day possibly becoming an officer within Military Intelligence, Finance Corps, or Signal Corps. I seek to some day receive a top secret clearance.
Although I am still unsure I plan on continuing my education after serving 4 years in active duty while being a reserve to receive an MBA or Law School.
How would all this lead to a potential career in the FBI/CIA/NSA or some other intelligence gathering gov agency?
