Okay I Quit College… Now What??!?

i’m 22 and have been at home working for 2 years. i quit college 2 years ago to follow my dreams, and since it has been harder than i thought to find my “niche” in life… my priorities have changed over those 2 years, and i still haven’t found a solid group of friends who share my views on life.
i have lived in the midwest my whole life and want to move away, preferably out West I.E. california or utah.. yet i don’t know what to do. i am Christian and thought i should just move out there and hope i find friends, but i’m still not sure what to do.. i’m in a pickle and don’t know where to go next in life..
what should i do?

you find a path that gets you where you want to go just like everybody else.
no one can tell you what to do that is for you to decide.

You say that you left college to follow your dreams, but you don’t say what your dreams are, what you wish to accomplish. Having a dream is great, but it might help to think of it instead as a goal. Then you can make a plan for reaching that goal. (Be careful not to confuse dreams with fairy tales :-))
You might consider taking an aptitude test. It might give you some ideas.
Find a church that also has a lot of social activities. Volunteer work is a great way to meet people and work for something you care about.
Moving to a new place probably won’t help much. If you change the sky over your head, but your mind and heart stay the same, what good is that? You’ll still be the you you are in California that you are at home. However, if you’re living with your parents, moving out is a great idea!

I knew from the time I was six I would end up in the American West. It was my initial destiny to go there. I loved it. I explored all of Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and Montana, Wyoming, Cal and Northern Mexico. Took me 27 years. You couldn’t have a better place to “find’ yourself. There’s lots of space to stretch out and grow. I would also include Alaska when you have time. If you don’t have a strong sense of what to do, travel. Destiny can show up anytime in your life. Keep your bags packed, it could be at your door..
