Affiliate Marketing Question?

I been doing alot of research and Im thinking about getting into it. I realized it takes alot of work and success wont happen over night. But I recently ran into this comment someone left on youtube and seems to me like it would work and create sales pretty easy. Too good to be true? whats wrong with this strategy?
“Make money using click bank use following steps-
1.Go signup with click bank.choose best product you like in marketing section and get affiliate link
2.Signup StudAds.com as advertiser & advertise your affiliate link
That is all what everyone is doing to make money with Click bank
As you pay $1 for 500 visitors in which you get 5-10 sales, each sale commission about $20?
so you get $100-200 for each $1 you spend on advertising
Spend $100 you will end making about $10,000 to $20,000”

    Dear Chris,
This might be too good to be true, Laser targeted traffic for affiliate program to do a lot and for $1 traffic you can try some trial and error but from my experience you need to have a very good sales letter to be sent out to drive traffic to your site or affiliate link. Being a senior member of various Internet Marketing forum, I have seen people doing so, however, success is next to 0 for $1 traffic.
Therefore, a well researched and well targeted traffic will cost more than $100 to earn $200 in profit.

The main component for affiliate marketing is to have a sizeable mailing list for the niche you wish to promote. So firstly, develop your mailing list in any way you can.
Clickbank has thousands of products but the quality of many have a lot to be desired. However, Clickbank has recently instigated a 5 star system in grading products so check out the number of stars for any product you wish to promote.

    Hey A_Chris,
Both answers above are right on, but also bare in mind that if you insist on selling Clickbank products exclusively there is a good chance that you will never receive a dime no matter how many sales you make, as they have a rule that you need 5 sales to 5 different credit cards to qualify for receiving your money, and in this day of Paypal and Payza, well, good luck.
I suggest JVZoo, they have some good products at sellable prices, and they pay you straight into your paypal acct. either immediately, or within a few days.
    Best of luck,
